Episode 006: Hereditary (2018)

Poster for Hereditary, with upper body photos of (left to right): Annie (Toni Collette), Steve (Gabriel Byrne), Peter (Alex Wolff), and beneath them, Charlie (Milly Shapiro). Beneath her is a tree, the title Hereditary, and the tagline “Every family tree hides a secret.”

AnDread and horror podcasting legend Jay of the Dead dive into Ari Aster’s Hereditary (2018). We discuss mental illness, family dysfunction, and how these relate to the film’s supernatural aspects. Also reviews of the Stephen King Cast and Stephen King’s The Stand.

WARNING: Reading the Show Notes may spoil the movie to some extent (though I’ve kept them as vague as possible).
